For the diVaTyte laser treatment, a pregnancy test may be performed in the office on the day of your appointment.
We will draw your blood to prepare the PRP (platelet-rich plasma) that will be used after the laser treatment and for The Ah Shot.
A topical numbing cream will be applied to the vaginal area for fifteen to thirty minutes.
Your provider, one of our female physicians, will input customized settings specifically tailored to your treatment into the diVa computer software.
The diVa handpiece is then inserted into the vaginal canal, where it will deliver the laser treatment over five to eight minutes as it gradually rotates out.
After the treatment, your topical PRP solution will be applied to the vaginal area to promote healthy tissue and quick recovery.
During the diVa Laser treatment, patients may experience a slight pressure against the vaginal wall during the laser resurfacing. The procedure is fast with minimal discomfort, though some patients might feel increased sensitivity near the vaginal opening for a few seconds.
