Dermal Fillers

Step 1: Consultation

At the consultation, we will listen to your concerns and answer your questions. We will ensure your goals are clearly understood and met by a caring staff of exceptional practitioners whose goal is to surpass your desired expectations and enhance your natural beauty.

Step 2: Treatment Planning

We will develop a quality plan to meet your expectations in effectively improving those features you would like to be enhanced, based on your concerns. We will then discuss the various options for filler and make recommendations based on our many years of experience providing superior cosmetic outcomes.

Step 3: Treatment

We will start treatment by cleansing your face with an antibacterial/antifungal cleanser to ensure that the area to be treated is sterilized and germ-free. We may then numb the area with a topical or local numbing agent, depending on the procedure being performed, ice may also be applied for additional comfort. We use cannulas for the injections when possible. Although cannulas look like needles, they are, in fact, rounded at the front and reduce discomfort, bruising, swelling, and the risk of intravascular infection. Using cannulas requires special expertise, which we have, to achieve optimal results.

Step 4: Follow up 

Depending on the procedure performed and the provider, a follow-up visit may be provided. Patients usually choose to have follow-up treatments at different times depending on the area of treatment. Usually, after 6 to 12 months, patients come in for a follow-up treatment for wrinkles, and 6- 9 months for lip enhancements.

Pre Care Instructions

• • Avoid blood thinning medications such as, aspirin, ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, vitamin E, fish oil, St. John’s Wart and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory products one week prior to treatment to help decrease bruising.  
  • Avoid alcohol 24 hours before treatment to reduce bruising. 
  • You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.  
  • Avoid vaccinations/boosters at least four weeks prior to filler appointments. 
  • Avoid any dental work or cleaning at least two weeks prior to filler appointments.  

Post Care Instructions

• • It is normal to have localized swelling and redness at injection site immediately after treatment. 
  • With any injection there is always the possibility of bruising. Arnica cream can be applied after injections to help bruising heal faster.  
  • DO NOT massage, touch, or press on the injection site. Avoid hard pressure (facials, massage, tight fitting hats or headbands, etc.) on the injection sites for 24 hours. 
  • Avoid makeup for 24 hours after treatment.  
  • Avoid any strenuous activity (cardio, heavy lifting, yoga, etc.) for 24 hours after treatment.  
  • Avoid hot tubs and saunas for 24 hours after treatment. 

We strongly recommend medical grade products for your daily skin care regimen to help with overall skincare goals.  

Please contact us immediately if you notice any of the following after treatment: 

• • Severe pain and/or color change (pale/dusky/blotchiness) of skin. 
  • Herpes or blister-like outbreak. 
  • Severe swelling up to three times increase in size.
